Organic spelt wheat berries freshly stone-milled to order. Spelt has a strong, nutty flavor that can be used in place of regular whole wheat flour in some recipes. It is grey-ish in color and makes great bread, pizza dough and even cake! I used freshly milled spelt flour for the sourdough carrot cake I made for one of the layers of my wedding cake 🙂 Note that it wouldn’t be ideal if you’re trying to make a light colored, fluffy cake like a vanilla sponge cake (one of the other layers of my wedding cake where I used AP einkorn flour).
