Hello! My name is Simone and I’m a home baker with a focus on high quality, real food ingredients.
Ingredients are key, so I’ll always list them out and I’m happy to discuss why I choose certain brands or ingredient types over others!
I also understand that everyone has their own set of dietary restrictions and food philosophies, so my goal is to offer a variety of options (that I would be comfortable eating myself), put the nutrition information out there, and let you decide.
P.S. I included this photo from my wedding since I made my own wedding cake and dessert table!
More About Me
I work as an accountant full time, but my passion is cooking and baking. I have always loved being in the kitchen and sharing my creations with friends, family, and anyone with a stomach. As a kid, I attended numerous cooking and baking camps, but one of my earliest memories in the kitchen was learning how to make cheesecake with my Nana. I entered it into the county fair and won first place! From then on, my love for cooking and baking only grew. Over the years, my friends would always tell me “you should open your own business!” but I never was brave enough to start. Fast forward to 2022, with the encouragement of both new and old friends, I finally took the first step in starting my own baking business and Simone’s Bakery was born!
I specialize in making sourdough products and desserts using high quality, real food ingredients. I have a stone mill to freshly grind organic grains to feed my sourdough starter and to make items like pizza dough, crackers, etc. I also have every grain free flour and unrefined sugar you can think of since I love making “paleo” desserts. I also enjoy making not-so-nourishing desserts, like French macarons and tarts, because I appreciate the artistry, creativity and aesthetic nature of those types of desserts. If you want to learn more about my food philosophy, check out my page about it!
